Who is responsible for your data

This site, LaFuransu and me (lafuransu.com), is published by Cédric Rolando, a sole trader (個人事業主 / kojin jigyō) based in Tokyo, Japan ("we"). We are the controller of the personal data described below.

This policy follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).

What we collect, and why

Sign-up form ("Try it free")

When you enter your email address in the form, we receive that address. We use it to tell you about new LaFuransu resources, and to answer you if you write.

• Legal basis (GDPR): your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), given by ticking the box. You can withdraw it at any time.

Contact form

When you write through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the subject you picked and your message. We use them only to reply.

• Legal basis (GDPR): our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (art. 6(1)(f)), and, for licence enquiries, steps taken before entering a contract (art. 6(1)(b)).

Premium access

When you enter a licence key, it is checked with Gumroad and then kept in a technical cookie on your device so your access stays open. That cookie does nothing else. It carries no advertising tracking.

• Legal basis (GDPR): performance of our contract with you (art. 6(1)(b)). Without this check, the access you paid for cannot be opened.

Server logs

Our host keeps standard technical logs for a short period (IP address, browser, date and time, requested URL) to keep the site secure and diagnose problems.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies and uses no trackers. The only cookies are the technical ones needed for premium access, and they appear only if you enter a licence key.

Who we share your data with

We rely on a few processors. We never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising:

• Web3Forms: passes form sign-ups and messages to our mailbox (privacy policy).
• Gumroad (United States): handles purchases and checks licence keys (privacy policy).
• Vercel Inc. (United States): hosts the site (privacy policy).
• Our email provider: stores and delivers messages sent to cedric@neoyume.com.

Transfers outside the European Union

We are based in Japan, so your data is transferred there. The European Commission recognises Japan as offering an adequate level of protection. Some processors, such as Vercel and Gumroad, are in the United States. Those transfers rely on standard contractual clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

• Email addresses and exchanges: up to 24 months after our last exchange, then deleted. You can ask for deletion at any time.
• Premium access cookie: the session lasts 7 days, the remembered key up to 2 years. Clearing your browser cookies removes both.
• Server logs: a few days to a few weeks, depending on the host.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask us at any time for:

• access to the personal data we hold about you;
• correction or completion of that data;
• its erasure;
• restriction of its processing;
• its portability;
• withdrawal of your consent, or objection to the processing.

To exercise these rights, write to cedric@neoyume.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, CNIL (cnil.fr).

Children

The LaFuransu resources are made for children, but the site and its forms are addressed to adults: parents and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 15. If you believe a child has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the last revision.

Terms of use

Please read these terms before using the LaFuransu and me site (the "Service"), published by Cédric Rolando. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by them. If you disagree with any part, please do not use the Service.

The terms that apply to buying and using the digital products are in the Terms of Sale at the bottom of this page.

Intellectual property

The Service, its content, illustrations, characters, texts, adapted typefaces and features are and remain the exclusive property of Cédric Rolando – LaFuransu and me, and of its licensors. Reproducing them without permission is not allowed.

Links to other sites

The Service may link to third-party sites, such as Gumroad, which we do not control. We accept no responsibility for their content, their privacy practices or how they operate. Read their terms before using them.

Suspension

We may suspend or end access to the Service without notice, in particular if these terms are not respected.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it good, but we do not guarantee that it is free of errors or always reachable, so far as applicable law allows.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Japanese law. That does not deprive consumers living in the European Union of the mandatory protections they enjoy in their country of residence. If any provision is held invalid, the others remain in force.

Changes

We may change these terms at any time. For a significant change, we aim to give you at least 30 days notice. By continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect, you accept the revised terms.
